Sidewalk Runners
Girls on the Run is more than a running program. It is designed to support girls’ physical and emotional health and growth. Beginning the week of April 4th - Girls will meet on Tuesday's and Thursday's from 4:30pm to 6pm at Hedges Pond. Led by trained and caring coaches, girls will have fun making connections and meeting new friends. Girls will learn intentional decision making, how to use their voice and become confident leaders. The season culminates with a 5K at the end of the season on Saturday June 5th. (time TBA)
*Girls will be asked to recruit a Running Buddy. A Running Buddy is someone 16 years or older who positively encourages, paces and mentors your girl through the 5K, Your Way event.   You will continue to learn more about this from your head coach. Have your girl start thinking about who this person may be so they can prepare accordingly

*Please wear comfortable clothes (dressed for the weather) and sneakers. Make sure to bring something to drink and a snack. Please bring a mask / facial covering.

Each girl will get a Girls on the Run branded reusable drawstring back pack, water bottle, t-shirt, face mask, activity journal with marker for all of the lessons, & finishers medal!!

COVID GUIDELINES
-Coaches and participants will frequently wash and/or sanitize hands to minimize spread during practices.
-Coaches will clean and sanitize all equipment at the end of each practice.
-The CDC and MA Health Department requires wearing cloth face coverings. Girls on the Run coaches will wear a mask when not able to safely distance outdoors. When girls are inside or unable to maintain social distance, they will be required to wear a mask. (This includes while they are actively running)
-Girls on the Run considers spacing of under 6 feet for more than a few minutes to be close contact. To ensure adequate physical distancing team sizes have been reduced to a maximum of 15 girls.
