The Manomet Youth Center's after school program has been running for over 30 years. The after school program helps provide a safe, exciting place for the youth of the community to come hang out with their friends, do their homework and stay active.
Unfortunately, due to low participation and budget cuts over the years, the after school program is in danger of closing its doors for most nights of the week. We believe the youth of the community need the after school program so they can stay active, make friends, and feel safe. We offer a low cost membership fee ($100 for the entire school year) which give families an affordable option for after school care. Other after-school programs in the area charge families $16 a day per child.
We recently started a committee to help us gain support for the Youth Centers after school program. A major issue we feel at the Youth Center is our facility and equipment is out of date. The committee has taken to the community to ask for donations of any kind to help aid the Youth Center’s after school program. With a donation from your company, you can help us purchase new equipment, update our facility and offset the cost of the staff that helps supervise the children during the after-school program.

PLYMOUTH RECREATION DEPARTMENT SCHOLARSHIPS
In 2008 the Recreation Department established a scholarship program in an effort to ensure that Plymouth residents are not denied the benefits of public recreation due to their inability to pay. The Recreation Department believes that every resident should have the opportunity to take part in public recreational programs and classes. Public recreation promotes physical, mental and social well-being and serves as a setting in which friendships bloom, families thrive, and community pride is forged. Since its inception, the Plymouth Recreation scholarship program has made the benefits of recreation accessible to hundreds of children who would not otherwise have the means to participate in recreation activities.
